Founder and Owner Gill Leeden, a Registered General Nurse, was trained at the Institute of Lasertrolysis in Florida where all aspects of hair growth problems including PCOS (Polycycstic Ovarian Syndrome) were examined. Gill was the first Nurse to open a clinic in the UK with the Candela Gentlelase and has now been carrying out Laser Hair Removal treatments longer than anyone else in the UK.

By the completion of her training, Gill decided to use the GentleLaser Plus Alexandrite Laser for dedicated hair removal. The decision was easy as consumer market research indicated that the flash lamp system (or IPL) was not as effective as a medical laser. In addition, various clinical papers commented that many clients using this system were more susceptible to burning. Some clients were reporting that IPL required many treatments and of course, a lot of money, to do what a laser could do in half the time.
